General Dart Rules
Standard Equipment
A standard dartboard is 18 inches (45.7 cm) in diameter and divided into 20 numbered segments. The bullseye is in the center, consisting of an outer bull (25 points) and an inner bull (50 points).
Throwing Distance
The standard throwing distance is 7 feet 9¼ inches (2.37 m) from the face of the board to the toe line (oche).
Scoring Basics
Each segment is worth its face value (1-20). The narrow outer ring doubles the value, and the narrow inner ring triples the value. The outer bullseye is worth 25 points, and the inner bullseye is worth 50 points.
Turn Structure
Each player throws three darts per turn. After three darts are thrown, the player's score is calculated and recorded, and the next player takes their turn.
